Diwali Special: What are Gautam Rode, Rithvik Dhanjani, Vahbbiz Dorabjee shopping for in the festive season?

The auspicious day is celebrated by doing laxmi puja, buying gold or other gifts, starting a new venture and more

Our popular telly celebs are super kicked about this Diwali as they gear up to shop their hearts out for their loved ones and for themselves. After all the hours they put in – shopping is like their right, no?

Look who plans to buy what this festive season.

Debina Choudhary

Like every year, even this year its going to be shimmery gold as it is the custom. However, it’s going to be special because Gurmeet’s gift for Karwachauth is pending. It will be beautiful gold jewellery and I am looking forward to it.

Gautam Rode

Dhanteras is one of the most auspicious days of the year and it also happens to be the beginning of Diwali. It’s a day with an extremely positive vibe and while I don’t necessarily buy gold on that day, I try to make an investment in a gadget. In this day and age we use gadgets the most on a daily basis.

Milind Gunaji

My wife always buys gold a day in advance because we believe in doing puja of the gold and money on Dhanteras. Also we buy new clothes for ourselves, our maids and their kids so that the puja is done with smiles on everyone’s face.

Rithvik Dhanjani

I am planning to surprise my mom by taking her out and asking her to buy whatever her heart wishes for. I will also be booking a car for Asha (Negi, his beau).

Yash Sinha

My wife Amrapali loves gold. She had shown me a gold set before marriage, and since then I have been saving money. I am going to finally buy it for her today.

Roopal Tyagi

I intend to buy a new car and gold jewellery, which has been on my wishlist for a while. Diwali is a good occasion to splurge yourself.

Vahbbiz Dorabjee

I or rather me and Vivian (Dsena) intend to go and buy gold bangles. Vivian also wants to give me a surprise so I am curious to know what it would be.

Dilip Joshi

I bought a small gold coin yesterday because we believe in not spending money on the day of Dhanteras respecting Laxmi Maa! As a ritual we do buy gold not as investment but because it is shubh.

Nakuul Mehta

I will be investing in some gold ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds). It’s moving away from buying physical gold to buying it on exchange markets. Traditionally, that has been a ritual in my family and I want to continue it.

Aashka Goradia

I am buying a set of gold bangles for my mother. I have already placed an order and am going to surprise her with them this Diwali. I intend to have a working Dhanteras as nothing can be better than working on this auspicious day.
