Ek Villain box office collection: Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor starrer inches towards Rs 100 crore

Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh starrer Ek Villain hit the theatres last Friday and since then it has literally created dhoom at the ticket windows. After getting of to a flying start, the romantic thriller ended up collecting Rs 50. 70 crore nett in just three days. But what’s even more interesting is that the film fared well on Monday too. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted on Twitter, “#Ek Villain passes ‘Monday test’ with flying colors. Wknd 50.70 cr, Mon 8.10 cr. Total: ₹ 58.8 cr nett. India biz. MONSTROUS HIT!” And now Suri’s latest offering is all set to enter the coveted Rs 100 crore club. “#Ek Villain Wknd 50.70 cr, Mon 8.10 cr, Tue 6.80 cr, Wed 6.40 cr. Total: ₹ 72 cr nett. India biz. Aiming for ₹ 77 cr+ Week 1. HUMONGOUS!” tweeted Adarsh.

That’s not all! Sid and Shraddha’s first film together has also managed to impress the audience oversees. Taran Adarsh wrote on the popular social networking site, “#EkVillain Overseas *weekend total* is approx $ 2.2 million [₹ 13.24 cr]. EXCELLENT.”
