Ek Villain song Zaroorat: Sidharth Malhotra is the angry young man in this soulful number!

Written and composed by Mithoon and crooned by Mustafa Zahid, this new melodious track from Mohit Suri’s next is meant for the heart-broken

We are loving the transformation Sidharth Malhotra has undergone for his next film Ek Villain. After having completely shed his chocolate boy image from his previous films Student of The Year and Hasee Toh Phasee, the lad is seen wearing a perpetually brooding and pensive look in the trailers and songs of the upcoming film.

Is Mohit Suri shaping Karan Johar’s favourite protege as the next Emraan Hashmi of Vishesh Films? Well looks like that is the case because we couldn’t help but draw similarities between Sidharth in Ek Villain and Emraan in Awaarapan. The song Zaroorat too reminds us of Toh Phir Aao from the same film. Zaroorat soulfully depicts the agony of a broken heart and love lost and in the video Sidharth marvelously mirrors the same anguish through his expressions and actions.

The song has got us curious and thinking about the plot of the film. Riteish Deshmukh’s presence looms large at the end of this music video as well (just like the previous music videos and the trailer) and just confuses us further regarding the story of Mohit Suri’s next offering! Well, we tip our hands in admiration for the makers of Ek Villain have done a fantastic job in terms of keeping the story under wraps.

What next is in store for viewers and music lovers by the makers of Ek Villain; keep watching this space to find out! Till then give a listen to the new song Zaroorat and tell us if the number managed to have an impact or not.
