Despite working with the biggest names in B-town, the telly actor hasn’t managed to create a place for herself…
Mohit Suri’s much-awaited Ek Villain stars Shraddha Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra. The film will also have Prachi Desai doing a cameo role during a song sequence. The song is titled Awari. Sources claim that Prachi will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar.
Did she agree to do the item number because her attempts at making it big in Bollywood haven’t paid off yet? Apparently not. The Once Upon A Time in Mumbai actor said that being a huge fan of Mohit Suri’s films, she took the decision of featuring in a song sequence in his film. She was overwhelmed when he instantly asked her to make an appearance in a track during the time he had bumped into her at Balaji Telefilms’ office. It was her love for the music in Mohit Suri’s films, which is also a highlight in the same, which made Prachi take up the offer.
The song Awari will be set against a bar backdrop while the audio will have the essence of soul-stirring rock style. The music track is said to be a pivotal sequence in the film’s second half. The Pakistani band Soch will be making their musical debut in Bollywood with Awari. Debuting in Bollywood, the song is created by Pakistani band Soch. Balaji Motion Pictures’ CEO Tanuj Garg revealed that Prachi will be a part of the special song which will be shot at a special set erected in Film City.
Prachi became a household name with Balaji’s daily soap Kasam Se and her debut opposite Emraan Hashmi did well at the box office. But her success was short-lived as she went on to deliver back-to back flops and now has no big projects in her kitty. We hope that Ek Villain’s Awari gives Prachi’s Bollywood career the much required push.
