Emmi is playing the lead in cricketer Azharuddin’s biopic and here’s some goss
To those who don’t know Emraan Hashmi, the serial kisser of B-town will be playing the role of Mohammad Azharuddin in an upcoming biopic on the cricketer’s life. But we aren’t here to tell you that. The latest we heard is that Emraan has to prepare for three looks to portray different phases of the cricketer’s life. Well now, that sounds difficult, no?
A source close to Mohammad Azharuddin’s biopic told a popular daily, “Though the biopic on Azharuddin was supposed to commence in mid-2014, Kunal (director) Deshmukh and Emraan Hashmi are currently working on another project together. And they both want to take a break before they start shooting the biopic. So, the schedule is now locked for January 2015. Emraan will be working with the team to finalise the three looks for the film before that.”
So, what all looks should we expect Emraan to be sporting in the film? Will he play a teenaged Azharuddin or an older one? Well, the same source said, “The film will encompass Azhar’s entire life, from when he was 17 to his ascent as the captain of the Indian cricket team, and even the controversies associated with him in the later years. So, Emraan will have to look like a 17-year-old as well as a 51-year-old during the course of the film.”
We also hear that producer Ekta Kapoor paid a hefty amount to Azharuddin to acquire the rights to his biopic. Anyways, as of now, we are only curious to know more about Emraan Hashmi’s three looks in the film. Aren’t you? It’d be a good change to see the serial kisser in a different avatar, no?
