The actor will be attending the Berlinale with director Danis Tanovic
Emraan Hashmi is a busy man these days, and one who is running around to two extremes of the world to fulfill his commitments. So after promoting his latest film Ek Thi Daayan on the ghats of Prayag in Allahabad at the Maha Kumbh mela, the actor will be flying to Berlin, to walk the red carpet along with director Danis Tanovic, to support his film An Episode in the Life of an Iron Picker.
Incidentally, Emraan chose to travel to the prestigious Berlinale fest with Danis considering he is acting in a yet untitled movie by the Oscar winning filmmaker after he completes Ghanchakkar and Ungli. Producer Guneet Monga of Sikhya Entertainment too will be traveling along with the duo, and was quite excited about the development, “We are one big family there to support and cheer for Danis as his film is in competition,” said Moga who is producing the movie.
Danis, who won an Oscar for his 2001 film No Man’s Land, is apparently quite a fan of Emraan, and feels that the actor is just right for his project, “’I really think Emraan is a wonderful actor. It is going to be a pleasure working with him. We both are on the same page and that’s very rare to find,” said Danis.
Emraan on his part was quite humble and forthcoming and said that he is happier doing a wide variety of roles more than anything else, “To shape up imaginary characters that are on paper and give them life is the most interesting aspect of being an actor,” said Emraan. Well, looks like B-town’s favourite serial kisser is ready to unleash his full range!
