Going by the box figures it seems Akshay’s comic caper has done pretty well at the box office so far
Akshay Kumar’s latest release Entertainment co-starring Tamannaah Bhatia didn’t witness an earth shattering opening but the slapstick comedy has fared decently at the ticket windows. The film hit the theaters on Friday (August 8) and ended up collecting Rs 11.16 crore nett at the Indian box office. The scenario was similar on day 2 (Saturday) with Entertainment raking in Rs 11.53 crore nett. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter, “#Entertainment Fri 11.16 cr [revised figure], Sat 11.53 cr. Total – 22.69 cr nett. India biz.” Well, the two day collection of Akshay starrer isn’t bad at all coz this is despite Salman Khan’s Kick still going rock steady at the box office.
According to Boxofficeindia, “The film needed to show bigger growth on Saturday due to low starting point but still the plus is that it did not drop. The numbers are low but the trend is fair. The film should have a much better Sunday as the film is mainly for masses and families and can close the weekend at around 30 crore nett.”
