Esha Deol opts for a Neeta Lulla creation for her mehndi ceremony
Posing for the shutterbugs with beau Bharat Takhtani, Esha looked super ecstatic. Her forearm and her palms were suffused with mehndi and she showed it off with a hint of glow on her face
While Ms Deol left her hair loose and posed in a bright orange-yellow lehenga choli, Bharat was seen in a simple kurta teamed with an ethnic Nehru jacket. Quite an antithesis to his previous wedding ensembles; Bharat made sure he took the route to simplicity this time around. We liked the fact that he chose kolhapuris over shiny mojris and a simple outfit instead of jazzy velvet disasters. Hema Malini’s shaded sea-green sari fails to impress us. Esha and mommie Hema were seen exhibiting a similar style with accessories, and as they chose pretty beaded neckpieces, we wonder if that was the mother-daughter’s way of telling the world that they are such devout Krishna devotees.
Seems like Esha and Bharat were more than happy to have a no-frills mehndi ceremony, and considering it was such a simple affair, the way it was organised warmed the cockles of our otherwise cynical hearts.
