Farhan Akhtar, happy 39th birthday: Will 2013 be a good year for the versatile star?

As the Bhaag Milkha Bhaag actor turns 39 today, we hope he has a rocking time with friends and family

Born on January 9, 1974, Farhan Akhtar has tried his hand at almost everything – from directing to producing, and acting to singing. Farhan is known to be quite a multi-talented person. He has always taken up interesting roles and directed films that are not run-of-the-mill. And now that the actor has completely gotten into the acting groove, we will get to see him in some really cool flicks in the near future. Akhtar will be seen portraying the role of Olympic winner Milkha Singh. He looks very much in shape for the movie, the body language is bang on and Farhan, in fact, looks like the Flying Sikh himself to a great extent. Apart from BMB, the actor is all set to play a polygamist in Reema Kagti’s next. Although we wonder if the Indian audience is liberal enough to accept such a concept, that’s Farhan for you; he pushes the envelope and is always game for introducing something new on the big screen. The Dil Chahta Hai director will also be seen doing Shaadi Ke Side Effects opposite Vidya Balan- the sequel of Pyaar Ke Side Effects.

Astro numerologist Bhavikk Sangghvi predicts that as the actor enters his 40th year, it’s going to be a very successful one for him.
“His next project  Bhaag Milkha Bhaag will not only turn out to be a hit at the box office, but Farhan’s work will be highly appreciated and he would be noticed onscreen by one and all. As a matter of fact, his performance in the film would even be nominated in all the major awards next year,” he says.

Farhan’s jar is brimming with unique roles. We wish the actor all the courage and creativity to be a part of more such novel ideas. Happy birthday, Farhan!
