Farhan Akhtar wants Javed Akhtar’s poem on MARD campaign to be included in school syllabus

The actor-director-singer plans to meet officials of all the schools in Mumbai and Delhi

Farhan Akhtar is on a mission! The supremely talented son of veteran lyricist, Javed Akhtar wants to spread awareness through his dad’s poem. It’s learnt that Farhan has been consistently promoting his campaign – MARD (Men Against Rape And Discrimination) through tweets and other activities. The Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara actor is said to be very closely involved with it and we hear that the MARD team is planning to initiate conversations with schools across Mumbai and Delhi to include the objectives of the campaign, along with a poem that his talented father has penned in their curriculum.

The Don 2 director’s motive behind this is simple – to educate young minds about the condition of female victims and work towards the betterment of girls across the country. For those who may not know, Farhan had also jotted down his feelings in the form of a poem titled – ‘What is this country we live in?’ when the brutal gang-rape took place in Delhi. We salute Farhan’s effort to bring about a revolutionary change in people’s mindset and generate sensitivity towards the fairer sex in society. Like father, like son!
