The Bhaag Milkha Bhaag actor won two trophies on the same night in Mumbai
Who would’ve thought that the über cool director of Dil Chahta Hai would go on to become a great actor (and decent singer) himself? That’s Farhan Akhtar for you. The actor’s lady luck continues with his sixth film as an actor, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (BMB).
After winning accolades and several awards for the biopic, Farhan won two more awards for his performance in the film on Sunday night. He won Best Actor at the Jagran Film Festival Awards 2013. On the same night, he was also adjudged the best at the GQ Men of the Year Awards 2013. Farhan personally received the award. Spotted with the actor-filmmaker were Milkha Singh, the sportsman on whose life BMB is based, and the film’s director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra who also won a trophy.
Congratulations to Farhan on his double win! Next up, the actor will be seen in the Rock On!! sequel and his film opposite Vidya Balan, Shaadi Ke Side Effects. And boy, are we looking forward to it!
