PVR Cinemas has decided to pay tribute to the late actor in a rather heart warming gesture
Farooque Sheikh’s last release before his untimely demise, Club 60 has been reopened by PVR cinemas as a tribute to the veteran actor. The actor passed away because of a sudden heart attack and sent shock waves across the film fraternity. It happened just weeks after his last release Club 60, a film which was well appreciated by critics and stayed on in theaters before Dhoom:3 stole the thunder.
But with three other releases in the week, PVR Cinemas still took the heartfelt decision. They have given a limited release to Club 60 and the makers of the film are very happy for this gesture. In spite of good word of mouth publicity for it’s story and content, the film failed to create a strong standing at the box office. Post Farooque’s demise, many people were eager to watch the film which was unavailable due to Dhoom:3‘s widespread release.
We think it’s a very good gesture from the owners of PVR and hope that more people watch this film. Haina, BollywoodLifers?
