3 Idiots‘ producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra believes the father-son tale will completely change people’s perception of Sharman Joshi. Here’s a brief glimpse into the film that’s already being loved by B-towners
Vidhu Vinod Chopra is back in action again after a gap of three years. And this time he is doing what he does best, supporting good talent over popular stars and big budget cinema. Remember he launched careers of Vidya Balan, Pradeep Sarkar and Rajkumar Hirani a few years ago? After making the star-studded 3 Idiots, the filmmaker has decided to back Ferarri Ki Sawaari, which has been written and produced by him and directed by a fresh director named Rajesh Mapuskar (Hirani’s assistant). He has also cast Sharman Joshi, who has so far been playing second fiddle to the hero, as the main lead. A personal episode between Chopra and his son is what inspired him to write a story based on the father-son relationship. At a time when Bollywood is busy churning out larger-than-life dramas, this heart-warming tale should come as a refreshing change. Don’t you think so? Watch the teaser and tell us.
