The Jab Tak Hai Jaan director breathes his last after he was diagnosed with dengue. Yash Chopra was 80 years old. The maestro director-producer was admitted to the hospital a few days ago after he was diagnosed with dengue. According to reports his health had improved and was soon to be discharged from the hospital. But on Sunday the situation took a turn for the worse. The filmmaker is survived by wife Pamela and sons Aditya and Uday Chopra.
The esteemed director’s was set to release his last directorial film Jab Tak Hai Jaan starring Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma by Diwali this year. Founder of the production company Yash Raj Films, Yash Chopra has helmed cult movies like Deewaar (1975), Kabhi Kabhie (1976), Trishul (1978), Kaala Patthar (1979), Silsila (1981), Chandni (1989), Lamhe (1991), Dil To Pagal Hai (1997) and Veer-Zaara (2004).
