Fukrey poster: Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh and Ali Fazal are the jobless ones

Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh and Ali Fazal and a debutant actor are seen doing the balancing act on electric wires on the poster of Farhan Akhtar and Riteish Sidhwani’s Fukrey

We are sure the first thing that came to your mind after seeing the poster was: what does Fukrey really mean? Well, it a slang that stands for someone who’s good for nothing or has a lot of free time on their hands.

Keeping the theme and the name of the film in mind, the makers have opted for four young lads who bring out the typical youthful flavour of the film. As it’s very strategically mentioned on the top of the poster that it’s a product churned out from the makers of Dil Chahta Hai, Rock On!!! and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, it already gives us a fair idea that it’s going to be a fun youth-oriented flick.

With a landscape of a whole city in the background, the four guys are seen balancing on cable wires, walking in the same direction as if trying to attain the same goal. All the actors are familiar faces – Manjot in movies like Oye Lucky Lucky Oye and Udaan earlier, Pulkit made his debut with Bittoo Boss (April 2012), Ali got noticed with his teeny-weeny yet strong performance in3 Idiots.

The film also stars south Indian actor Priya Anand and Gangs Of Wasseypur girl Richa Chaddha who will be seen playing a bholi Punjaban.

Director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba (who has earlier directed Teen Thay Bhai) is at the helm of the project. The film is slated to release in early 2013. The casting team has made sure they choose a set of talented lads who aren’t all that accomplished but aren’t oblivious to the ways of B-town either. Quite an interesting cast we say!
