‘GANGS OF WASSEYPUR 2’ song: Chi cha leather

The massacre that began in the first part continues in all its bloodied glory

The response to the trailer of Anurag Kashyap’s eagerly awaited Gangs of Wasseypur 2 has been phenomenal. From what we have seen so far, Nawazuddin Siddiqui seems to be the highlight of the concluding part of this gangster flick. It is interesting to see how Anurag has managed to give a distinct look to GOW 2. When we first heard the Chi cha leather song, we were left scratching our heads wondering what it meant. Our friend from the hinterlands enlightened us saying that the phrase meant that something has gone terribly wrong. Kudos to songwriter Varun Grover for adding a brand new word to our dictionary.

We must say that Nawaz and Huma Qureshi share a great chemistry, especially the way they sport their Aviator glares. The video of Chi cha leather is a warning about the blood and gore in store for us in GOW 2, when it releases early next month. It doesn’t seem to be a regular weekend outing for the fainthearted. An aging Tigmanshu Dhulia seems to have gotten into the skin of his character, and we are eager to watch how Kahsyap’s revenge saga finally concludes. What about you?
