The Nawazuddin Siddiqui-Tigmanshu Dhulia starrer will be promoted using strategies like in pre-election political campaigns
The first part of director Anurag Kashyap’s ambitious gangster flick Gangs Of Wasseypur that was based in Dhanbad has been well received, though residents of the small town have been voicing their objections to it. Not only did the critics rave about the portrayal of the coal mafia, the film did well at the BO too, despite the fact that it was up against the Shahid Kapoor-Priyanka Chopra starrer Teri Meri Kahaani. Now the second part of the revenge saga is eagerly awaited by all those who loved the first installment.
The makers of GOW have come up with an innovative way to promote Part 2. Buzz is that they will be putting up posters of the protagonists, in the style of political campaigns before the elections. Faces of Tigmanshu Dhulia and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who will be playing prominent parts in GOW 2, will be seen on the posters with their respective election slogans. We are quite impressed by what we have seen so far and are eagerly looking forward to see what Anurag Kashyap and his creative team do next in the lead up to the August release!
Did you find this promotional strategy impressive, Bollywoodlifers?
