Genelia D’Souza and Riteish Deshmukh are not nervous about getting married

The couple, who is slated to tie the knot on February 3, finally discuss their relationship and their impending wedding

Genelia D’Souza and Riteish Deshmukh have always maintained a stoic silence about their relationship. But now with the wedding and the release of their romcom Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya just around the corner, the two have been forced to speak up. Riteish, who generally maintains a “no comments” stand when asked about Genelia actually came up with an answer when we asked him if he was mentally ready to make the huge commitment to his lady love. In his usual light-hearted manner, he said, “I am one of those birds who enjoys sitting on one tree. I don’t feel the need to fly from one tree to the other.” Oops…that was a strange metaphor, Riteish. Anyway, Genelia seconds his thoughts. “We are not nervous at all. We are actually excited. We have been together for a long time and we are happy about taking the next big step,” she says.

But just when we thought that the couple was in the mood to divulge more, they suddenly turned secretive about their impending wedding plans. When we asked Riteish whether they were going to have a typical Maharashtrian wedding and what he plans to wear, he brushed it aside jokingly. “I have just got the invite for the wedding. Will have to wait to see how it turns out,” he said. Well Riteish, a little birdie has already told us that you two have planned both – a church wedding and the Maharashtrian rituals. Let’s hope that the couple gets a little less mysterious once they walk down the aisle!
