Celebs were dressed to kill at the GQ awards held recently. And while certain style statements gave us uncontrollable giggles, there were also a few who managed to leave us awestruck
Deepika Padukone was a vision in a scarlet lace Gaurav Gupta gown. The mermaid-cut outfit accentuated her toned figure amazingly and the glace cherry lips completed her look. Even though there was too much red in her ensemble, it didn’t seem even a bit like overkill. Ms Padukone gave her own classy edge to red and she did complete justice to it.
Talking about red, you have to see what Hazel Keech is wearing. She looks like a shriveled guldasta
in that hideous top embellished with red floral appliqués, teamed with shiny greeny-gold pants. The disaster list doesn’t end here. Kajol, who was on the verge of becoming our favourite fashionista with her new fashion statements, disappointed us by opting for a James Ferreira silk dress. She looked gorgeous neck up, but below that it seemed as if she was gearing up for a wrestling match at the Olympics. The dress failed to complement her curvaceous body frame and solid legs. But the one thing Kajol did right was that she brought some handsome
arm-candy along with her. Yes, we are talking about the dark and dashing Ajay Devgn.
Anurag Kashyap looked downright shabby and Nargis Fakhri disheartened us with an ill-fitting gown. Sidhartha Mallya reminded us of a high-end waiter and Vidya Balan was oh-so-usual, large and boring in her Sabyasachi sari. And the one person who really blew our minds
away was Konkona Sen Sharma in a white and gold sari…yummy, this mummy!
