Gunday box office collection: Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and Arjun Kapoor starrer enters the Rs 100 crore club

Ali Abbas Zafar’s Gunday is going steady at the box office in its third week. As per the media reports the movie has already grossed Rs 100 crore worldwide. We won’t be surprised if Gunday soon achieves the same feat at the domestic box office

Gunday starring Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra Arjun Kapoor and Irrfan Khan in the lead is now a part of the elite Rs 100 crore club. Released on February 14, this action drama got cash registers ringing from the very first day. After collecting over Rs 40 crore in its opening weekend, Ali Abbas Zafar’s latest offering did well on weekdays as well. No wonder, Gunday has managed to rake in Rs 100 crore worldwide so quickly. And though Imtiaz Ali’s much-awaited film Highway featuring Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda released last week, it hasn’t really affected box office collection of Gunday. In the second weekend, Gunday collected Rs 8.15 crore which isn’t bad at all considering most of the movies released so far in 2014 had a dry run at the ticket windows.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “Gunday [Weekend 2] Fri 2.03 cr, Sat 2.61 cr, Sun 3.51 cr. Total – 8.15 cr nett. Grand total – 71.23 cr nett.”

screw u it was a pathetic movie even i don’t mind being called a dog .bcoz all men r dogs. u will agree that you r a pig if u reply me and moreover ill not see your comment. grow up loser hahaha

  • aman

it is like a cake walk for a yrf movie but it took 1 week for this lame movie to cross it. movies like ek tha tiger, dhoom 3 did it within a week .It only entered into 100 cr club because no movie was released with it check out the imdb scores it is just 1.2 it just shows how much this movie is a shame. no indian movie got such a worse score

    • rahul

i completely agree with u aman. it is by far the worst indian movie. Collections don’t prove anything when movies like grand masti can cross 100 cr why not a pathetic movie like gunday

    • Guest

if it had competition with himmatwala i am sure himmatwala would be more successful ha ha ha ha !!!!!

      • Guest

it is worse than tashan clearly the worst yrf movie

        • Guest

actually for me tashan was way better than this movies like rang de basanti ,tare zameen par made indian cinema proud this movie is spoiling the name of indian cinemas

          • aman

tashan was better than tare zmeen par and rnd r u out of ur mind?

          • rahul

okay, i seriously LOVED gunday. it reminded me of movies i grew up watching (90s) but with the standard of modern movies. i don’t care what the haters say, gunday was fun, funny, intense and kept me on the edge of my seat. :) and i WILL recommend it to my friends.

  • bollywooddivaxo

Gunday was the best movie. It was reminiscent of past films, and was everything that made Bollywood movies renowned world wide in the first place.

    • rahul

even aag was a reminiscent of sholay but it didn’t leave anyone offended though it was a flop movie at least it didn’t hurt sentiments of a group or section of people

      • HMKANN

What movie doesn’t hurt a group of people these days? There’s many films that depict a certain group and issues in a certain way. If you judge a movie by it’s accuracy then Bollywood isn’t the ideal film genre for you to see. Also the movie wasn’t “based on a true story”

      • Guest

i totally agree u can make movies but making movies that offend people just for money is pathetic clearly this is the worst indian movie

  • harsh

this was the shittiest movie I’ve ever seen. these kind of movies are destroying Bollywood

  • sean

was a better film nd fr those who dnt lyk it thn why did they watch it
