Hansika Motwani’s Bogan to release on December 23

Hansika Motwani, Jayam Ravi and Arvind Swamy will soon be seen in Lakshman’s Bogan. It’s reportedly the official remake of Nicolas Cage’s movie Face-off. Now here is the latest update – the movie is finally set for release on December 23. Initially the movie was to hit theatres in September but due to unknown reasons, the movie saw a delay and now it will finally see the light of day. It was in June that 4 first look posters were officially released by Hansika. Each of them had a grungy, bad ass vibe to them. The dominant theme was black and they looked like gang of serious bikers, including Hansika who looked super hot and rad in her leather jacket. The boys are playing cops in this film. Here’s another interesting tit bit – Arvind Swamy will also be making his singing debut with Bogan. “It’s a very interesting song and composer Imman felt Arvind’s voice will fit the bill. Arvind has already recorded half of the song and he will complete the rest this week,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS. The music will be composed by D.Immam. We can’t wait to hear him sing. There’s another crucial character played by Akshara Gowda. It is for this movie, she will don the police uniform. Here’s what she had said to a leading daily on playing a police officer, “For the first time in my career, I will be playing a cop and will also get to indulge in an action sequence. I’m thrilled about it. I get to be Angeline Jolie of ‘Tomb Raider’ in this role.”

If you haven’t noticed, Arvind Swamy also has Dhruva releasing this December, although dates haven’t been confirmed. While he plays a cop in one movie, he plays the ultimate baddie in the other. We are going to see two distinct sides to Arvind. While one character plays a moral police, the other’s total lack for morals is what makes him stand out. Dhruva is the Telugu remake of Tamil movie Thani Oruvan. In the original movie, Jayam Ravi and Arvind were pitted opposite each other, but in Bogan they are on the same side. We wonder if Arvind will have back-to-back releases in December? That would be fun.
