Has Ranveer Singh replaced Imran Khan in Vikram Aditya Motwane’s Bhavesh Joshi?

Mr Singh seems to be on a replacing spree. Read on to find out more…

So the rumours are indeed true. Imran Khan has walked out of Vikram Aditya Motwane’s Bhavesh Joshi. And one hears that the role is now being offered to none other than Ranveer Singh. “Yes, the script has been sent to Ranveer. But since he is busy with Kill Dil, he hasn’t had the time to go through it,” an insider was quoted by a daily.

Mr Singh is surely giving the Khans of Bollywood a run for their money. First we heard that he has replaced Shahrukh Khan in Aditya Chopra’s next, then reports about him replacing Salman Khan as the host of eighth season of Bigg Boss started doing the rounds. And now the Imran story. That’s not it. Deepika Padukone’s alleged current boyfriend will soon start shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do (tentative title), which was initially offered to Ms Padukone’s ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor and his cousin Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Anyway, if reports about the Ram-Leela actor being a part of Bhavesh Joshi are true, then it will be for the second time when we will see Ranveer in a Vikram Aditya Motwane film after Lootera, which also had Sonakshi Sinha playing the female lead.

However, the project is currently on hold as Motwane is going back to the drawing board to rework on the character to suit his new lead. “Nothing is finalised right now. It’s not clear yet whether Ranveer will finally do the film or not. There are several modalities that need to be worked out,” the insider was further quoted.

What’s with Mr Singh replacing other actors in various films, we wonder…
