Has Siddharth Shukla replaced Sidharth Malhotra as Karan Johar’s blue-eyed boy?

Siddharth Shukla aka Shiv of Balika Vadhu hit jackpot when he signed a three-film deal with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions

While it’s indeed a big move for the actor and the production house, we can’t stop wondering what made KJo sign the actor not one, not two, but three films. Apparently, Karan has been observing Siddharth in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6 and in most of his comments the producer-director has referred Sid as the perfect hero material.

Wethinks KJo is cashing in his popularity as Shiv for his movies. Siddharth has a crazy fan following, and considering so many TV actors are doing a phenomenal job in daily soaps, it would be the perfect time to cash in on the trending actor. “Siddharth has been signed up for the film. He is a talented actor and a rage in Balika Vadhu. Dharma Productions plans to continue its professional equation with him,” Karan said in a statement.

Balika Vadhu’s Siddharth Shukla: I am ready to marry, but there’s no bride yet

Frankly, we really thought that KJo will be keener to invest in his blue-eyed boy Sidharth Malhotra. After all they’ve already worked together in two film, no? Well if Siddharth (TV) has replaced Sidharth (movie), we wonder what the Hasee Toh Phasee actor’s will do for a living?

All said and done, we wish Sid all the luck for his first film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and the other two untitled movies in his kitty. Let’s hope there is a lot more to come in the future.
