Vinil Mathew’s romantic comedy received a lukewarm response at the box office on its opening day (Friday). But the movie fared well at multiplexes in metro cities and managed to rake in approximately Rs 4 crore
Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra’s Hasee Toh Phasee had a dull start on its first day (Friday). While the morning and afternoon shows had average occupancy, the movie did well during the evening and night shows. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “Hasee Toh Phasee picked up rapidly over evening/night shows at several metros. Friday biz *early trends* suggest – 4.25 cr+. Sat and Sun biz is crucial and the escalation in metros should continue.” Though Karan Johar’s latest offering has got mixed reviews, the film has done decent job at the box office so far. After a not-so-great opening on Friday, the collections of Hasee Toh Phasee went up on Saturday. “Hasee Toh Phasee Fri 4.85 cr, Sat 6.25 cr to 6.40 cr. Witnesses 30% to 40% jump on Day 2. Metros ate super-strong!” posted Adarsh.
According to Boxofficeindia, “Hasee Toh Phasee had good growth on Saturday as it collected around 5.25-5.50 crore nett on Saturday adding to the 4 crore nett on Friday which takes the two day business to around 9.25-9.50 crore nett. The growth on Saturday is a solid 30-35% and if the film can repeat the same growth on Sunday then there are probably good chances of the film sustaining on Monday.”
That’s not all! Pari and Sid’s hatke love story is doing well internationally too. “In UK and Australia too, Hasee Toh Phasee Sat biz is almost double of Fri biz. Upward trend continues!” tweeted Taran Adarsh.
