Himmatwala song Thank God it’s Friday: Sonakshi Sinha wants to freak out!

The Dabangg 2 babe is in a mood to let her hair down in this groovy disco number

It’s time to groove to the latest disco song from Sajid Khan’s remake of the 1983 film Himmatwala. The number Thank God it’s Friday features Sonakshi Sinha in her much slimmer version. The babe is in a shimmery sequined outfit and a silver headband completes her retro disco look. The 25-year-old then quickly changes into a tight leather outfit comprising a leather pant and a funky black top with high boots and other accessories, but the retro charm remains intact throughout the number. Sung by the versatile Sunidhi Chauhan, this track will make you nostalgic about the 1980s era.

Picturised in the style of the golden era of disco, this song seems to have been inspired by many tracks both from Bollywood as well as Hollywood. Though certainly foot tapping, Sachin Jigar’s music fails to offer something new. The lyrics of the song -Thank God it’s Friday – are easy, hummable and therefore catchy. So don’t be surprised if you hear this number a lot more in the days to come. Catch this latest track from Himmatwala and tell us if you like it.
