It was during the launch of his ambitious film Haunted 3D that director Vikram Bhatt told this anecdote about a fan coming up to him and saying that he was ‘horrible’ – no, the fan did not have a personal opinion of the director, but liked all of his horror films, like Raaz and 1920.

It was during the launch of his ambitious film Haunted 3D that director Vikram Bhatt shared this anecdote about a fan coming up to him and saying that he was ‘horrible’ – no, the fan did not have a personal opinion of the director, but liked all of his horror films, like Raaz, 1920, etc. Explaining why he only made movies of this kind, Bhatt said, “Someone has to, so I do.” He said the same thought applied to making India’s first 3D film: nobody had done it, so he decided he would. Bhatt was beaming with pride at his achievement and well deserved it was indeed. The theatrical trailer of the film looks promising, though we couldn’t really say that about Mahakshay (you may remember him as Mimoh, from the disastrous Jimmy), actor Mithun Chakraborty’s son, and newcomer Tia Bajpai, the lead pair of this film. If this one works, it will be mainly for the fact that it is India’s first 3D film.Subscribe to me on YouTube
