‘Housefull 2’ gets the second biggest opening of the year
The multistarrer earned Rs 14 crore on its opening day, but couldn’t beat the 2012 record set by Agneepath
Sajid Khan was super confident that his film would earn big bucks at the box office. And as it turns out Housefull 2 has managed to earn the second biggest opening of 2012. The film made Rs 14 crore on the first day and then went on to make Rs 13 crore and Rs 15 crore on Saturday and Sunday respectively. The Akshay Kumar and John Abraham starrer has earned around Rs 42 crore on the weekend and should manage to consolidate through the week. Housefull 2 collected Rs 5.5 crore in the overseas circuit on the first two days.
The opening day collections of Housefull 2 were second only to Hrithik Roshan-Sanjay Dutt starrer Agneepath that had made a whopping Rs 25 crore on the first day. Housefull 2 also comes as a big relief for to Akshay Kumar, who was desperately in need of box office success. His last big hit had come in the form of Housefull in 2010 (Desi Boyz which released last year did decent business). We are sure Akki is already pursuing Sajid, who has turned out to be his lucky charm, to make a third edition of this comedy series.

of course housefull 3should made for audience be coz housefull and housefull2 are the most comic film i have seen in my life
