Bollywood heroes do lose a lot of sweat and sleep to gain those bulky biceps and muscular abs, but is it outcome of just workout and diet? Maybe not. We find out the truth behind those chiseled looks

Over the past few months John Abraham developed unimaginably huge muscles for his action flick Force. And we hear that Hrithik Roshan is working to lose all the bulk he acquired for Agneepath, aiming for a lean, muscular look in Krrish 3. Before this, Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt and many others have drastically modified their bodies for some onscreen persona or the other. While they do toil to achieve that distinct physicality, we figured that it must be impossible to attain the beefed-up muscles or fab abs without some extra help. So we went gym-hopping to find out more. A trainer and body builder told us, “You can’t get those muscles and six-pack abs overnight. Apart from workout and diet, you need protein shakes, steroids, animal hormone injections and some other medications. All this has to be taken correctly and within acceptable levels.” There you go. So the next time you watch your favourite star emerge on the big screen with a well-chiselled body and are inspired to do 1,000 push-ups the next day to look just like him, think twice.
