How is Saif Ali Khan pushing the envelope?
The Cocktail actor’s next film is a zombie comedy and we heard that the makers have gone crazy with the concept
Saif Ali Khan’s last role as a loverboy in Homi Adajania’s Cocktail got mixed reviews from critics. While some liked his goofy lover act, there were others who felt that he was too old to be playing the love interest of girls half his age. So in perhaps a slightly more grown up version of himself, Saif will be soon be seen in a zombie comedy, Go Goa Gone, helmed by director duo – Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, who made Shor in the City with Tusshar Kapoor and co. Zom-com is a brand new genre of film for Bollywood and GGG will be the first of its kind.
We are not sure if a zombie flick will go down well with the audiences, but the makers seem to have gone crazy filming their madcap feature. Talking about zombies in his film, in a recent interview Saif said, “In our film, they’re afflicted by a virus. So while they can’t fly or outrun humans, they can’t be killed unless you hit the part of their brain that’s still alive. Meanwhile, they go around biting people and turning them into zombies. It’s fun pushing the envelope with such concepts.”
From what the nawab says, wethinks this one could be insane fun if properly made. Finally Bollywood can boast of its own zombie flick!
