The Krrish 3 star had a mixed 2013 – a hit film, a broken marriage and major health issues! Will 40 be a better time for him? We think about it….
Hrithik Roshan turns a year older today. Last year the scene outside his residence in El Palazzo, Juhu, was bustling with activity. The Krrish 3 actor decided to celebrate his 39th birthday with the media and share his excitement and joy. What will he do this year when he hits the big four-oh?It has become the norm for the Shuddhi actor to spend an hour in the evening cutting cakes, exchanging pleasantries, interacting with the media and greeting fans who try to get a glimpse of him every year. There is often a glimpse of his family celebrating with him – Sussanne (then Roshan) and his two little angelic looking sons Hrehaan and Hridaan Roshan. But will that change this year? After all, Sussanne is no longer with him and has moved out with the two small children, remember? So will Duggu’s 40th birthday be happy?
All those who interacted with Hrithik last year can vouch for the fact that the actor was extremely philosophical; he talked of love, hope and overcoming challenges. He was in pain from a major back injury, you may recall. This birthday, he is still in recovery from a blood clot in his brain and is dealing with a separation from his wife of many years. Nevertheless, we hope that the Dhoom 2 star is still his usual positive self.
The superstar might not have the perfect life right now, but he has Greek god looks, killer dance moves and a great career. And he can look good in a rag! We look at the aspects of Hrithik that make us cheer….
Hrithik the actor/performer: He started his Bollywood journey as a child actor in Bhagawan Dada with his father Rakesh Roshan and Rajinikanth in lead roles, before making a grand entry in papa Roshan’s Kaho Na… Pyar Hai. He went on to work with big banners and known heroines and delivered several blockbusters – the Krrish series, Lakshya, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara, Dhoom 2, Jodha Akbar and more. The actor is all set to feature in Karan Johar Shuddhi, which will bring him and Kareena Kapoor (now Khan) back together onscreen after ten years, and in Bang Bang opposite Katrina Kaif.
Hrithik the style icon: It wouldn’t be wrong to say that he is the best looking superstar in Bollywood. His Greek god looks, chiselled features and perfect body are unmatched. He lights up the screen or the red carpet with his presence. And even with ruffled and oddly coloured hair he still looks much better than any other actor who would dare to appear in public like that. Whether he is in a designer outfit or sporting an experimental hairdo or then clad in a plain crisp white shirt and ragged denims, this hottie is droolworthy in any avatar.
Hrithik the dancer: If Prabhu Dheva ruled as the ace dancer in Indian cinema, Hrithik Roshan’s entry into the dance realm kickstarted a muqabala. Duggu has the sexiest moves we have seen and grooves like a dream. When he dances to a song, nobody else around him has a change of getting any attention. He has some of the best dance numbers to his credit – Ek pal ka jeena from Kaho Na Pyar Hai, Main aisa kyu hoon from Lakshya, Dhoom machale from Dhoom 2, Bumbroo from Mission Kashmir, the Krazzy 4 title track and more recently, Senorita from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
