Getting inked to express love for their partner is a popular fad among celebs. But when these once lovey-dovey pairs split up, what happens to the tattoos?
We have many B-townies tattooed in the name of love. Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Roshan, who recently made their split public are one among the many. The star couple has an identical star tattoo on their wrists. Apparently, the Krrish 3 actor had even inked Sussanne’s name. Well, now that they’ve split, we wonder if they will keep the tattoos, significant of their relationship or get them removed. Apart from Hrithik-Sussanne, Deepika Padukone too had inked RK on the nape of her neck, flaunting her love for her now ex-flame, Ranbir Kapoor. The actor is still seen with the engraved initials though there have been reports that she intends to get rid of the tattoo.
Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson, who were seen in Ekk Deewana Tha were an off-screen couple too. But their romance did not last long and they headed for splitsville immediately after painting the town red. What more, the young stars had gotten each other’s names inked when they were deeply, madly and crazily in love! While Amy’s tattoo read ‘Mera pyar mera Prateik’ Prateik’s tattoo read, ‘Mera pyar meri Amy.’ Well, while the firang babe has already gotten rid of her tattoo, Prateik is still stuck with his!
Well, it’s not just our B-town celebs who are stuck with these painfully separable tattoos, but we’ve several couples from tinsel town too. Eva Longoria, who was once married to Tony Parker has her wedding date inked on her wrist. What more, reportedly, she’s even inked his initials on her body only where he could see it. Hmmm… In this case, we can’t be sure if she’s gotten rid of her tattoo yet.
From B-town, we also have Saif Ali Khan getting inked with Kareena’s name and Sanjay Dutt with Manyata’s original name. But by God’s grace, these couples are happily married. Touch wood! While love doesn’t last forever, tattoos certainly do, unless you are ready to bear some pain and get rid of them. So it’s wiser to think a hundred times before getting inked with your spouse’s name. Or, you can play safe like some celebs who choose to dedicate their tattoos to parents or their children instead. Wink, wink!
