Humshakals song Piya ke bazaar mein: Himesh Reshammiya’s voice spoils Bipasha Basu and Tamannaah Bhatia’s sexy number

We never had any complains with Himesh’s voice, but this time we are forced to think otherwise

Piya ke bazaar mein is the second song from Sajid Khan’s upcoming film, Humshakals, which stars Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Ram Kapoor in triple roles each. Bipasha Basu, Esha Gupta and Tamannaah Bhatia are cast opposite the trio in this comic caper.

Sung by Himesh Reshammiya, Shalmali Kholgade and Palak Muchhal, this qawaali number has been penned by Shabbir Ahmed and composed by Himesh. Honestly, we had high hopes from this song after watching the teaser, which released yesterday. But after listening to the full version of this number, we were disappointed.

The track starts on a high note with a rather interesting and catchy tune, but falls completely flat as soon as we hear Mr Reshammiya’s voice. Don’t know about you, but we absolutely couldn’t connect with this number at all. Not that we belong to the group of Himesh Reshammiya haters. In fact, we really love the The Xpose actor’s music, but after listening to Piya ke bazaar mein, we are forced to think otherwise. Let’s just hope it’s only for this time.

Coming to the video, this out and out dance number is shot extravagantly in Southall’s (London) only desi dance bar. While Saif and Riteish look good in those pathani salwar kurtas, Bips, Esha and Tamannaah on the other hand are flaunting their sexy side wearing those lehengas. The song is choreographed by Ganesh Acharya, and we have no complains whatsoever about it.
