The Mere Brother Ki Dulhan actor insists that his film with Kareena Kapoor is different from his previous love stories, but we don’t think so
Every time an actor is accused of getting repetitive with their roles, they go hoarse crying, “It’s a different role!” We have heard it before and know what it means by now. Invariably it is not really what our tinseltownies want us to believe in. When the Delhi Belly actor was told that his film Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu with the gorgeous Kareena Kapoor is similar to his previous romantic movies like I Hate Luv Storys, Break Ke Baad and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, he was quick to refute it. In a website interview Imran said, “EMAET is not your typical rom-com.” Further the 25-year-old actor explained that the film was a coming of age and a slice of life genre. Imran also revealed the storyline of EMAET. It is about a guy who is missing something in his life and realisation happens when a girl enters his life. What happens next is obvious. The boy’s life changes and ends on a happily-ever-after note. Now, how is that different from the usual guy-meets-gal Bollywood fare, Imran? Nonetheless, we hope the young actor takes a break from love on screen and comes back with some badass shit like Delhi Belly. Cos we think only films like that will keep his fans hooked on for longer and not these ‘different’ rom-coms!
