Imran Khan’s village dude avatar: cool or blah?

Mr Khan is at his rustic best in his next film Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola. And while he steps into the shoes of a village bloke, he also incorporates a Gangs Of Wasseypur style- gamcha in his desi ensemble

Cool aviators, rugged shoes, a stylish kada on his wrist, jacket and kurta teamed with a cool gamcha: that’s the style combination Imran Khan opted for at a recent promotional event for his new film MKBKM. While every Bollywood actor jostles to be the ultimate style icon, Khan made sure he tops the list for now by bringing his desi side to the fore.

Not just that, Mr Khan also added tadka to his rural avatar by sporting metallic earrings. The khaki pants and the dark brown kurta are making Immu look like an absolute stud. Talking about being a stud, we think his style here is a pleasant mix of the bold Dabangg attitude, the Gangs Of Wasseypur funk and the rough and tough Omkara fashion.

The ruffled up hair, the stubble and the handlebar moustache lend a very rugged feel to the MKBKM dude’s personality. Imran has quite effortlessly slipped out from his chocolate boy image to fit himself into the mould of a small town sod.  All we can say is Matru’s magic has started working already!
