We spotted the actor in a colourful avatar shooting for Rowdy Rathore and his look seemed to heavily inspired from Govinda’s gaudy style from the 90s

Wearing shocking pink trousers and bright fuchsia T-shirt with glasses mounted on his nose, we saw Akshay Kumar running across roofs and jumping on buildings while shooting for Prabhu Deva’s directorial Rowdy Rathore in Kandivli. And his garish attire reminded us of Govinda’s (in) famous sartorial sense. The actor was seen sporting a moustache and sunglasses which made him look like Salman Dabangg Khan’s taller replica.

Akshay plays a small time thief and his character requires him to be not-so-snazzy! The rustic crook act comes quite naturally to the Punjabi munda as he has done it earlier in the 90s and most recently in Tashan. The 46-year-old carried off the look without inhibition and came across as more rangeela than ‘rowdy’. We hear that Akki will maintain the gaudy style throughout this rustic action drama. Wonder if he called Govinda to take a few tips!
