Is Alia Bhatt suffering from Body Dysmorphic Disorder?

The Highway actor seems to be suffering from some sort of mental disorder. Read on to know more…

Selfies might be the ‘it’ thing of today, but psychologists say that taking lots of selfies is not an addiction but a symptom of Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD). So we wonder if Alia Bhatt is suffering from this disorder given that she has been posting a lot of selfies on her Twitter and Instagram accounts these days.

Alia, who is currently promoting her upcoming film, 2 States opposite Arjun Kapoor, clicks tons of selfies with her co-star during their interviews and promotional events and posts it on her social networking sites. And while they both look cute together in all the pictures, looks like Alia doesn’t know that she is suffering from a disorder.

Yes, in a first such study, experts have linked selfies with a mental illness and have suggested that people regularly searching for the perfect angle from which to portray themselves could in some cases be ill.

So if the Bhatt girl is reading this, she will certainly realise that there needs to be a reduction in the number of selfies she posts. Ohh and if even you are addicted to selfies like Alia, you know what you need to do…Subscribe to me on YouTube

I’m sorry, but how dare you say such a thing? I am a sufferer of BDD for 3 years now, and I have attempted suicide twice. How dare you say that sufferers of BDD are “self obsessed”. I am in no way vain or loving of myself, I am disgusted with who I am and wish to kill myself because I don’t not want to live with the way I look. I have not gone a single living day without crying and giving myself a lack of respect. How fucking dare you call sufferers of BDD “self obsessed”.

The media is shining a very false and negative light upon sufferers, but apparently the general public is also far more dim witted. Taking selfies is in no way linked to BDD, and it is a common daily practise for some and is not to be associated with a syndrome (BDD) that is linked with OCD and Extreme depression.

You disgust me. Please educate yourself before you insult people.

What u smoking vinod? Are u trippin? She’s a girl. And girls like taking selfies. God bless them for that. What’s your problem man? Why are you so judgemental? You probably have a delusional disorder man. Maybe you dont like Alia. I dont like her either. But this is not the way you take it out on her. It doesnt even make sense. You need to see a shrink.
