The South actor has impressed directors Imtiaz Ali and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra with his performance in Raanjhanaa and Maryan, and they want to cast him
After making a sparkling debut in Bollywood with Raanjhanaa, Dhanush is very much in demand in B-town. The South superstar’s first Hindi film was directed by Anand L Rai who had earlier directed Tanu Weds Manu with R Madhavan and Kangna Ranaut in the lead.
Composer AR Rahman organised a special screening of Dhanush’s latest Tamil release Maryan in Mumbai. A lot of Bollywood personalities including like Imtiaz Ali, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Ranvir Shorey, Aditi Rao Haydri, Anand L Rai, Govind Nihalani and Boney Kapoor saw the film.
Post screening, Imtiaz said, “We’ve got a very good actor, who we can all line-up to work with. I would definitely want to work with Dhanush.”
Apart from the Rockstar director, Rakeysh too praised the Maryan actor. The Bhaag Milkha Bhaag director said, “Dhanush is born to give happiness. More than acting, I think his religion is to spread happiness. He makes me very happy all the time.”He further said, “If I have the script, we can get together! Why not?
With this, it seems like Dhanush’s Bollywood career has finally got a kick! So, will he beat newcomers like Sushant Singh Rajput and Ayushmann Khurrana in the big bad Bollywood race?
