Is Himesh Reshammiya’s role in The Xpose inspired by Raaj Kumar?

Here’s some goss about the multi-faceted composer-singer’s next film The Xpose

Himesh Reshammiya is all set for the big screen, having lost 12 kilos for his next film The Xpose. We hear that Himesh is likely to play a suspended cop-turned-superstar, a character inspired by yesteryear actor Raaj Kumar. The Xpose is a murder suspense thriller set in the 1960s. The film will be directed by Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, who has won 4 National Awards for his Marathi film Mee Sindhutai Sapkal. Himesh and Ananth know each other since years. The former had composed music for the latter’s Dil Maange More and Aksar.

Considering it’s a music composer’s film, The Xpose is certainly going to deliver good music as the filmmakers have also roped in Yo Yo Honey Singh. Need we say more? Also, Honey Singh will be playing a negative role in the film. Apart from this rapper, the film will introduce two female leads whose characters are likely to bear a striking resemblance to Zeenat Aman and Parveen Babi. Reportedly, the star cast also includes Irrfan Khan and the Life of Pi actor Adil Hussain. We aren’t done yet. National award winning Bengali actor Sabyasachi Chakraborty will also be seen in Himesh’s next, playing the role of a popular showman of the ‘60s.

Well, Himesh’s next murder musical thriller seems to have an interesting cast and crew. Let’s hope that the film is equally interesting too. Fingers crossed!
