We hear director Vikramaditya Motwane is going back to the drawing board to rework the lead character that was specifically crafted for Imran. But what exactly went wrong, we wonder…
When we met Imran Khan last, the light-eyed actor was absolutely gung-ho about his next Bhavesh Joshi. The 31-year-old star was keen to play a Gujarati character in the movie. But more than the quirky character, Imran was thrilled to work with Vikramaditya Motwane for the first time. After the success of Udaan and Lootera, Motwane is one intelligent director many A-list starts are keen to join hands with. Naturally, the Gori Tere Pyaar Mein actor was kicked about his venture with the filmmaker. But now we hear that the Khan dude is out of the project for the reasons best known to the actor and the makers.
One hears that it is wifey’s pregnancy has kept Imran away from the movie as the star wants to spend more time with his better half, for their first baby. But according to insiders that’s not the only reason why Imran has decided to walk out of the promising venture. We also hear that Motwane is going back to the drawing board to rework on the character that was penciled in for Aamir Khan’s bhanja.
After Gori Tere Pyar Mein’s debacle at the box office Imran needed a solid comeback and Bhavesh Joshi could possibly have been the movie that would have turned the tables for the dude. With the inexplicable exit from Motwane’s film, Imran has only raised our eyebrows and we are asking the obvious question-WHY?
