Is Mardaani’s Rani Mukerji taking a dig at Singham Returns’ Ajay Devgn?

Mrs Aditya Chopra seems to brush aside comparisons between her police act and her jiju’s police act…

Ajay Devgn’s Singham Returns releases on Independence day and a week later releases Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani. Both have their lead characters as police officers. So comparisons were bound to happen. Rani, however, brushed aside all such comparisons saying that there are many women police officers in real life who are better than their male counterparts. Is she being too haughty about her film? We wonder…

The Mardaani actor says, “Ajay Devgn plays a male police officer in Singham Returns, while I play a female officer in Mardaani. But much more than that I am from the crime branch (and not from any local police station). Also, Ajay sports a khakee wardi in the film whereas I will be seen wearing plain clothes throughout the film. Ajay’s police act is different from mine.”

Now we don’t know how to take that comment because from where we are looking at it definitely seems that Rani believes that her police act will be better than that of Ajay. Now only time will tell us as to who among the two is a better cop. Keep watching this space for more updates on both the films.

You guys are amazing. She mentioned that she plays a crime branch officer but never said not from any local police station. By adding some extra words, you make it sound like she belittled Ajay but she never did that. Proof is all over youtube as people can see her interviews. This isn’t good journalism. Shame on you!
