The Attacks of 26/11 director has been served a legal notice for using the name of the boat that was hijacked by terrorists to reach Mumbai

Ram Gopal Varma has been served a legal notice by the owner of the boat Kuber, that was hijacked by terrorists to come to Mumbai to carry out the deadly terror attacks of November 2008. RGV’s recently released film The Attacks of 26/11 has shown the name of the boat and even its registration number. This revelation, the owner of Kuber, Hiralal Masani believes, is defamatory.

In his complaint Masani maintained that the Registration of Kuber was made at Porbandar port and Ram Gopal Varma has used the name and registration number without permission.

RGV’s thriller is based on Mumbai terror attacks of November 2008 where 10 Pakistan-based terrorists used Kuber to land in in the island city after hijacking the boat Kuber in the high seas. The maverick director had earlier tried to seek permission from the owner to use the boat’s name and even its registration number for his movie, but permission was not granted.
