Is Ronit Roy pushing himself too hard to impress Akshay Kumar?

The well-known advocate KD Pathak from Adaalat is undergoing strenuous workout sessions for his upcoming movie Boss with Khiladi Kumar. Why, we wonder…

Last year, Ronit Roy made appearances in Midnight’s Children and Student Of The Year. And now, he is busy working on Shootout At Wadala, Ugly and Boss. Amidst all these, he also manages to honour his commitment to his television show Adaalat on Sony Entertainment Television because Roy feels that he is responsible for the livelihood of the families of 100 or so crew members who are associated with this show.

But even with his plate so full, Roy doesn’t shy away from the rigorous workouts that are required for his upcoming film Boss. In this remake of a South film, Ronit plays the role of the main villain. And a bare-bodied fight sequence in this one demands that the actor be in top shape.

What’s more, Ronit has even been complaining of a bad back and torn meniscus (knee cartilage). And he also revealed that working out required five times more the effort owing to his health conditions. So what drives him? “Akshay (Kumar) is a legendary actor so I don’t want to disappoint him, which is why I am working harder than ever,” Ronit confessed in an interview.

And that makes us wonder why this desperation to try and impress Akki at the cost of his health. We racked our brains but failed to come up with a sane enough reason. So while we wait for Ronit to explain this state of affairs between him and Akshay, we ask you, readers: Do you think Ronit Roy should push himself so hard only to impress Akshay Kumar?
