From the script to his fee, Salman Khan no longer shies away from minute details before he signs on to do a film

Once upon a time the Bodyguard actor did a lot of favours for his so-called ‘friends’ by accepting their films without asking for details. But Salman Khan is no longer casual when it comes to his work. From a nonchalant actor he has turned into a focussed and shrewd one. Look at how he takes keen interest in every aspect of filmmaking now – scripting, shooting, editing, music, marketing, promotions…. And that’s not all. No longer does he dislike discussing money. Most of Salman’s recent films – Dabangg, Ready and now Bodyguard - were partly or completely produced by his Khan-daan. It is a common trend followed by star actors. That way the film’s profits stay within the family. However, after a long time the man with the new money-mind is going to work in an outside production, Yash Raj Film’s Ek Tha Tiger. So the buzz is that Salman went into great detail before saying ‘yes’ to his first film with Bollywood’s leading production house. Apparently the stud Khan demanded to be paid as much as Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan. Further, it is believed that Salman closely went through Aamir’s Dhoom:3 contract to ensure that he was not being meted out secondary treatment for Tiger. Clearly Aamir is his guiding light when it comes to work. Now if only the Bodyguard actor would follow his buddy in regard to the roles he does – then no one would ever be able to even touch Salman’s heights of stardom!
