At a recent event Sallu miyaan had something unfaltering to say about the Mozart of Madras. Read on to know what Dabangg Khan said…

Salman Khan recently launched the Oscar winning music composer AR Rahman’s new music album titled Raunaq. Union Home Minster of Law and Justice Kapil Sibal who wrote all the songs for Rahman’s album was also present at the event.

And while SK was all praises for Mr Sibal, the Kick actor made a not-so-great comment about the Slumdog Millionaire music composer. At the launch, Sallu said, “It is a great pleasure to be here for this launch. The songs are nice. I think Kapil sir is amazing and Rahman is average.” Yes, you heard that right! If the bhai of Bollywood really meant what he said then either Khan needs to improve his taste in music or make himself aware of Rahman’s accomplishments, hai na?

Maybe the actor was taking a dig at the musical genius. Remember Rahman’s legal team had sent a notice to SK and his brother Sohail Khan for using the title Jai Ho which has been trademarked by the former. Well, Salman is known to get cheeky sometimes but this was totally uncalled for, don’t you think Bollywoodlifers?Subscribe to me on YouTube

He is “being average” this days with his humor, haina sallu mian

Salman said so in freindly and funny mode…He also meant himself average by comparing common thing “Jai Ho” between him and Rahman. Salman said “And you, guys (referring the audiences), know how average Rahman is..We have one thing in common. That’s Jai Ho.” It depends now on how you interpret it. My request is, without thinking deep into it, not blow it out of proportion… And on the positive side, see how many coverages the album is getting on media because of Salman’s joke. rubbish news … for god sake stop it…he is salman khan not mental khan o.k.

These days salman has lost his senses because of jai ho …which was a very small hit contrary to the hype created …almost a flop…
ar rahman is a very decent guy and salman simply don’t know the meaning of decency

Salman tweeted this tweet “Rehman n Salman, r they only 1′s who have a sense of humor?” for the gossip-loving people who absolutely have no sense of humor.
Jai Ho was almost hit, not almost flop. It was a semi-hit declared by boxofficeindia.com, not below average.
And you totally lack sense of humor and live with what you are fed…

It was a sarcastic comment by Salman in freindly and funny mode…He also meant himself average by comparing common thing “Jai Ho” between him and Rahman.

Gossip Mongers, take it on your face. Salman tweeted: Rehman n Salman, r they only 1′s who have a sense of humor?? http://www.indiatimes.com/entertainment/bollywood/salman-khan-breaks-silence-on-ar-rahman-controversy-131391.html

Having said that, one should also admit that AR Rahman is no no longer as good as he used to be. His Oscar awards can not justify or give any kinda guarantees that all his songs will be good and of quality. Last time, he composed Music for the Yash Chopra-SRK film and the lyricist Gulzar. When he failed to live up to the expectation, he blamed YRF saying that YRF films are not his types.

To me, the best Musician in Bollywood at the moment is Pritam. Basically, almost all Indian Musicians and Musics are good. What Indian Musicians as well as Bollywood lack is they don’t think out of the box, try to make anything with global appeal (keeping its originality as the foundation) and via international platform. Else, Rahman’s Jai Ho song was a junk song rejected from Salman Khan’s Yuvvraj. When it gets an international platform in the form of Slumdog Millionares, it clicked big time with international audience.

I know for a fact that some people are posting against Salman here is not because they adore Rahman but because they hate Salman. (A Comment Copied from Koimoi)–

Good for you and your hypocrisy! You don’t know Pritam! Then fine. Let it be.

        • Sk
