Is Shahrukh Khan copying Ajay Devgn in Happy New Year?

We don’t know more, but for now it looks like SRK is a wee bit inspired by his buddy Kajol’s hubby, judging by the first Happy New Year poster…

The poster of Shahrukh Khan’s much awaited film Happy New Year directed by Farah Khan is finally out and has already become a great hit on social media. And we must say that’s it all bright, stylish and colourful. One look at the it and you get an idea of what the plot of the film could be. However, if you look closely, you start seeing vague references to the poster of the 2007 dud Cash, which starred Ajay Devgn in the lead role.

The poster of Cash had the leading characters posing inside a huge vault – just like SRK, Deepika Padukone, Sonu Sood, Abhishek Bachchan and Vivaan Shah do on the poster of Happy New Year. And there are more similarities: both have leading men wearing shades; Cash had one leading lady (Esha Deol) in the poster and so does Happy New Year (Deepika Padukone). The main and immediate difference is that, one is filled with colour (HYN), while the other has a black and white tone (Cash). Who inspired whom? Or should we take a wild guess? But something else has us wondering – will this intensify the cold war between SRK and Ajay? Remember, it all started when Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son of Sardar clashed and legal terms flew threw the air? While we know that the two star heroes are not enemies, it is very clear that they are not friends either.

Happy New Year stars Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah in lead roles and is slated to release this Diwali. We can’t wait for this one! What about you peeps?Subscribe to me on YouTube
