Shahrukh Khan’s rise as the King of Bollywood has put him in high demand among the companies wooing Bollywood stars for their product endorsements. And this high demand has played out with the King Khan now charging a hefty amount for the endorsement deals he signs.
The latest we hear is that the Chennai Express actor has been offered a plum endorsement deal with a pan masala brand for a whopping amount of Rs 20 crore. Don’t adjust your eyes. You read that right!
And apparently he has given his nod and may sign on the dotted line very soon. “SRK is a big name and the company is ready to pay him Rs 20 crore. They are very happy to know that he has shown interest in working with them and they now want to shoot a commercial with him. They want to air it as soon as possible,” a source was quoted by a tabloid.
But just if you thought that the Happy New Year actor’s Rs 20 crore ad deal is the most expensive one in Bollywood, then you are clearly wrong. It’s Aamir Khan, who rules the roost in the endorsement world, particularly because of his image as a socially conscious Bollywood star. Many of you might know this but to those who don’t know, the Dhoom:3 baddie charged a crazy amount of Rs 88 crore for an endorsement deal with Godrej, thereby overtaking other A-listers including Shahrukh and Salman Khan.
