Is the Shahrukh Khan-Karan Johar ‘dosti’ going kaput?

KJo’s wish to work on a script with Aamir makes us wonder…

There’s one more reason for us to start doubting the strength of the Shahrukh Khan-Karan Johar bond. Wanna know what it is? Two words: Delhi Belly. It all began when KJo didn’t bring Shahrukh in for his remake of Agneepath. Then he dropped King Khan’s appearance in Student Of The Year. All those tall claims of never making a film without his best buddy fell flat when Karan Johar admitted that Shahrukh would only help produce the film and not be a part of its cast. Of course, they insisted that it was a mutual decision. We wondered then and we wonder now after hearing about the doodh ka dhula filmmaker gushing about the profanity-filled Delhi Belly. And actually saying he wants to make a film along the same lines, and that too with Aamir Khan! You surely know all about the rivalry between SRK and Aamir Khan, right? Whether it was Aamir naming his dog ‘Shahrukh’ or the Badshah saying on Koffee With Karan 2 that Aamir’s fans should switch to an idol they can “look up to”. (Get it?) And all the bonding that suddenly happened between Aamir and Salman Khan once the latter ended his friendship with SRK. (You know what they say – the enemy of an enemy is a friend.) With all this history behind them, Karan’s statement really shocked us. Now this is one project we can’t wait to see materialise. At least it promises us a lot of unholy and terribly wicked glee to look forward to!
