Lately, the actor who swore by Sabyasachi outfits has gone from desi to Indo-western. Is it a good change?
Vidya Balan’s next film, Shaadi Ke Side Effects is all set to hit the theatres at the end of this month. And the Kahaani actor is leaving no stone unturned to promote her film, along with her co-star Farhan Akhtar. Well, you ask us what’s the big deal if the duo is promoting their film? Well, what surprised us is each of Vidya’s appearances. It’s like the actor has turned over a new leaf this year. As far as our memory goes, Vids swore to desi looks last year. Anyone and everyone knows how much she loves Sabyasachi designs. But lately, Vids has been donning maxi dresses or flaunting Indo-western outfits. Take a look!
When Vidya visited the sets of Nach Baliye, she was seen in a cobalt blue Anand Kabra maxi dress and had let her hair loose in curls, down her shoulder. The neckline of the dress didn’t quite flatter Vidya’s body and showed off what we didn’t wanna see. On another occasion, Vids was seen in a lime yellow shirt maxi, clinched at the waist with a belt. It reminded us of the Vidya, before her fashion-faux-pas days begun. She looked gorgeous. But we didn’t stick to this opinion for long ‘coz she was seen in a design by Anupamaa. The lady had converted a cute maxi dress into an anarkali and what we got to see was disastrous! Anyways, Vid not only sported a shirt maxi but also a shirt tunic while promoting her film at a radio station. In the Pankaj and Nidhi tunic, she looked like quite chic. Recently, the lovely lady was all the more experimental! Vidya opted for a kurta by Anupamaa, which she wore as a dress! She had worn her hair in a messy braid and boy, she looked stunning (after a long, long time!).
Overall, Vidya is all for dresses these days, especially maxi dresses. While on some occasions, she looks hideous, she looks bewitchingly beautiful on another. The lady is throwing surprises at us, some pleasant and some unpleasant. Is she trying to show us Shaadi Ke Side Effects through her appearances?
