It’s Salman Khan vs Ranveer Singh at the BO this Eid
Yash Raj Films’ Ek Tha Tiger and the Balaji-Phantom co-production Lootera are being released on the same day
The Eid weekend is usually reserved for Salman Khan blockbusters, so we were surprised when we heard that the makers of the Ranveer Singh-Sonakshi Sinha-starrer Lootera are releasing their film on the same day. Ek Tha Tiger is a Yash Raj film directed by Kabir Khan and is one of the most awaited of 2012, because Salman will be seen romancing ex-flame Katrina Kaif on the big screen after a long time. Lootera, on the other hand, is a ‘hatke’ love story, a costume drama set in 1950. News is that the cast and crew of Lootera are having a tough time shooting the film at Dalhousie, as it is snowing heavily there. The film’s set has been destroyed; Ranveer and Sonakshi are not able to come out of their rooms. The entire highway from Jammu to Dalhousie is under four feet of snow and the makers, especially director Vikramaditya Motwane, are finding it difficult to get anything done. Wethinks this looks like a sign from The One up above to avert a BO disaster that could ensue the two films release together. Do you think it makes sense to release a movie on the same date as any Salman Khan film? Let us know….

ummm… Lootera isn’t releasing on the same day! its releasing on October 26th 2012, while Ek Tha Tiger is releasing in August 2012. They are both releasing on Eid, but two different holidays (two different Eids)!

Are there not enough days in the year? That the directors decide to release their movies on the same day? Really….also I won’t be surprised if this is a publicity stunt for looters since ek tha tiger is one of the most awaited films of the year and why would anyone take panga and release their film with salman, even akshay pushed his movie to a earlier time.
