Yash Chopra’s much awaited comeback film finally has a name
This year’s best kept trade secret in B-town has been the title of Yash Chopra’s long awaited movie with Shahrukh Khan. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh finally let the cat out of the bag on Twitter last night – just a few hours before the official announcement was made through a front page advertisement in a daily this morning.
Although SRK had tweeted that the name would be revealed on Wednesday, the media beat him to it! Adarsh tweeted, “Breaking: Yash Chopra’s new film is called Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Stars @iamsrk Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.” Although it may not prove to be a dampener since most would have known it by this morning any way!
The film was referred to as ‘production #45’ while the name was still being finalised, and there were rumours about it being called London Ishq and Yeh Kahaan Aa Gaye Hum. The title has been taken from a poem in the movie. However, it sounds more like a tribute to Ramesh Sippy’s Sholay as it takes inspiration from the song Jab tak hai jaan picturised on Hema Malini! And will SRK dance on broken glass in the film to prove his love to his heroines? We wonder! Do you like the poster and title of the film, dear BollywoodLifers?
